Harris Science Academy East London is part of a major new PRS residential development in the London Borough of Newham, and features specialist science teaching facilities

Running along Stephenson Street, the project sits within a wider masterplan that will transform a former industrial site into a new residential neighbourhood, which we are also helping shape.

The Harris Science Academy East London will accommodate 1,000 pupils and 120 staff. Science is an important specialism which affords high-tech labs, specialist sixth form super-labs and dedicated experiment studios for longer-term experimental analysis. A 275-person lecture theatre helps to attract international speakers and to encourage out-of-hours community events for a full range of curated activities. The sports wing operates as a community sports facility, with a multi-purpose sports hall, gym and five-a-side 'sunken’ rooftop MUGA. The rooftop play space has a feature roof light which houses 325sqm of PV cells, to generate approximately 14% of the annual energy consumption.
