The Waltham Forest College swimming pool repurposing project, is part of the larger vision and College objectives to modernise facilities, to provide contemporary, leading-edge post-sixteen facilities to meet the skill needs of north-London and the local area.

The extensive refurbishment project was led by Leadenhall, who provided full Project Management, Design Management, Technical Advisory, Procurement Advisory and Contract Administration services from RIBA Stage 2 – 7.   

Responding to environmental considerations, the project included full mechanical and electrical upgrades.  By maintaining and reusing much of the existing fabric, the works have extended the life of the existing building. This drastically reduces waste and energy associated with demolition and construction.
